Wellbeing and Mental Wealth
Wellbeing and mental health play a crucial role in special schools, as they significantly impact the overall development and educational experience of students. A supportive environment that prioritises mental health enables students to feel safe and valued, fostering their emotional resilience and allowing them to engage more fully in learning.
For pupils with additional needs, tailored approaches to wellbeing can promote self-confidence and independence, enhancing their social skills and academic achievements. By prioritising mental health initiatives, special schools not only address the unique challenges faced by their students but also ensure that they are equipped with the tools necessary for lifelong wellbeing.
As a school, we find mental health and wellbeing is our priority. We have a mental wealth team that meet reguarly to support our staff and pupils.
We participate annually to the Beewell mental health survey and we are proud to be regarded as a ‘Bee Well’ school.
