The Rubik’s Cube band perform at the Bluebird Care Customer Christmas Party

The subsidary unit of Rubik’s Cube called Osjam joined forces with Bluebird Care and went to perfrom at their annual christmas party in the Coldham Common Community Centre just down the road from school.

We spent the whole morning at school doing our usual lessons, including RE with Heidi.

But then the bus came at 1:00 so we had to eat our lunch quickly.

When we got outside, we were greeted by Sonia our Headteacher and her mum Ann (the fomer was driving us there).

We got on the bus, put our seatbelts on and off we went!

It was only a 15-minute trip so we made the time fly by either talking or listening to BBC Radio Solent on the radio.

When we got there at 1:20, we went inside and managed to have a 40-minute soundcheck/rehearseal before people started arriving.

We were amazed to discover that among other people, we were performing to a load of other school children.

When it was time to perform, we winged it by combining our songs together to make a full setlist.

It was hard work, but worth it!

We sang Golden, I want to break free, Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody and You’re my best friend.

Shaun and Theo even debuted a new song! We ended the show playing Christmas hits!

At the end, the crowd went wild and we got off the stage just in time for us to get ready for home.

But not before we heard the next act for 5 minutes, and I even got to take a balloon home!!!!!!

It was the best time ever, and i hope we can do stuff like this again in 2026!
