Flags of Friendship Competition
Earlier this year pupils from across Osborne School took part in the Flags of Friendship competition. This competition was organised by the Hampshire branch of the National Education Union (NEU) to promote peace and friendship in our school communities.
We were delighted to hear that Lexi Dyche had won a prize in the Special School category for her fantastic flag. As part of the competition Lexi has won a cash prize of £1000 for the school. Also, her winning artwork, along with pupils from other schools, will be professionally reproduced and used to create a Flags of Peace commemorative merchandise, including flags and mugs, allowing the design to be shared more widely as part of this celebration of peace, creativity and young people's voices.
At Osborne School we think that it is important to celebrate our different identities. Everyone has the right to be treated with respect and our classrooms are welcoming spaces for everyone regardless of their background.
